Here at Strong Therapy and Community Support, we see Mindfulness as the practice of slowing sown and reconnecting with the present moment without judging it as “good” or “bad”. While mindfulness is often used within therapies like CBT and DBT, it is also a powerful practice all on its own.
With this therapeutic approach, you learn how to focus on your breath, body, thoughts, and surroundings rather than getting pulled into stress about the future to regret about the past. The goal is to create a healthier pause between a stressful situation and your reaction to it, helping you respond more calmly and intentionally.
You might like this approach if you’re thinking: “My mind feels constantly overwhelmed, and I want to feel more grounded and present.”
